After watching DB Saturday I want to try single pole on structure. What is a good 10 ft rod for this??I don’t need the best or most popular brand, just a pretty good reasonably priced one.

I use the B&M lite Uncle bucks in 10', it is amazing.
I use the Shakespeare Crappie Hunter 10'. It's about $30 at Academy. It's a very light action so if you try to lift a Crappie over 10" or start jerking at a jig you've got hung in a tree you'll break it every time. I find that that fewer Crappie put loss and just need to pair with a light drag on a good reel.
Shakespeare(R) Crappie Hunter 10''' Freshwater Spinning Rod | Academy
For reels I use the Pflueger Trion (Model #TRIONMSSCB) Spincast Reel with high visibility 6lb line and keep the drag very light. I never cast them, just looking at a smooth drag, also about $30.

It’s not that I mind paying for something,I just have a tendency to be really rough on them. So I hate to spend a bunch. Lol. But these are all about the range I was looking for.

I’m like CatchNgrease. That 10 ft double touch duck commander is one nice rod. Light, good back bone and sensitive. And mine is set up just like his.
Don't know if your interested but I have 3 10' Southern Crappie rods I was fixing to sale.
Ditch recommended the 10' Shakespears several years ago and I have been very happy with them. Later I did pick up a couple of 10' B&M poles on sale at Academy that seem to have the same blank, or to me the action is the same.
Since I’m getting suggestions on this I’m gonna get y’all’s opinion on another one. I bought a president combo a few weeks ago. Of course I love the reel but not the rod so much. I use it for casting and float and jig. What pole do y’all use for this??Im supposed to be giving the wife some hints for Christmas so just looking for ideas. She already said no to a native kayak so I’ve got to get cheaper items. Lol

I also jig fish the the 10ft Double Touch Rods that CatchNgrease mentioned. Nice rods for the money!
For casting my all time favorite rod is an All Star AST Drop shot bass fishing rod. Lots of tip but got a good backbone just incase you need it. I think I caught it on sale for around 45-55 bucks several years ago.
I use the 10 foot all star rod with 11/2 pound invisi braid for single pole jigging.

I have a bunch of B&M poles and several ACC crappie stix the ACC is the best rod that I have ever used, they are priced lower than the B&B poles lighter with more back bone and sensitive can’t beat them. Just my 2 cents.

I have a bunch of of different manufactures rods.
Acc crappie stick with winn grip seems kind of heavy but still throws the light stuff. Also they sell extra tips
The acc 12 foot Winn grip is also good if you like hybrid rear seat handle
b n m super sensitive or Russ Bailey 10.5 are also nice with softer tip
my southern crappie rod 9 footers are nice too however those and 10s have new out of stock for months
i have been likeing Lee’s cs 100 or 200 reels $76 on Amazon also the cadence cs 5 for about $55 also a very good reel so far. Cs 4 slightly cheaper but also good
I like the ProanglerTackle 10 foot rod. They have two options. One for trolling and one for single pole fishing. I have used these rods for over 7 years. Good stuff.
Correct me if I'm wrong you want a rod to cast with your president and a jigging pole. For casting its hard to beat St. Croix rods. Don't know how much you want to pay but you can buy one from about 110 on up. I like southern rods for trolling and jigging. Very high quality and Ed. Dukes is a fine man and stands behind his product. I broke one and it was my fault. I called him to order a new piece. I told him how I broke it and asked how much an end section would be. He sent me one free. Since I have all southern trolling rods and am fixing to order another one.
