No response.... where's the guys that used to post pics of the big bluegills from there?
I sure miss his post of those big fish.
he has a bud he fished with a few times i seen on fakebook that occasionally posts in one of the panfish forums .
i imagine the bluegill are still there and still big .
Yes, those fish were amazing. Sonny was/is a master. Hopefully his friend will post some new pics. (And I hope LedHed is doing ok).
BluegillHunter.. I am no doubt that fishing bud of 'LedHed' (Sonny) that Ketchn was referring to. I hope he won't mind me reporting this. Sonny and I have not fished at Lake Perris in over a year primarily because the marina at the lake closed down and made all private boat owners who had kept their boats docked there, to remove them by the end of February. The 50 year old unsafe docks are to be removed, to make way for a newly constructed marina store and docks. So, with no way of fishing out of his very nice pontoon boat without towing that big sucker to the lake every time he wanted to fish (which was quite often), Sonny sold the boat. Also, the the highly contagious Covid 19 virus has kept he and I at home. Sonny told me he is thinking of getting a nice kayak or maybe start float tubing the lake this spring like I also plan to do. Sonny really was the Bluegill Master at that lake catching 8 Bluegills that topped 12 inches in 2019! I am so fortunate and appreciative to have been able to fish with him since 2009. I have learned a ton of really great information on how to catch those huge 'Gills. You are going to hear more from him in 2021, and hopefully me too.
That is very good news about more fishing in 2021... you gentlemen stay safe and I am looking forward to the reports and fish pics!
great study just dropped from wuhan area by chinese and outside doctors on 10MM folks that showed there were almost NO assyptomatic transfers of the virus so most of the hysteria promoted by the CDC and MSM is totally unfounded. Careful and limited use of masks and primarily social distancing does great job of limiting exposure so to all those of us who fish it's great news as when you stay within your "germsphere" of same folks and simply fish like normal your just fine. It's how me and a couple of buddies have operated thru this whole ordeal and havn't had any issues. called common sense and same as I have always operated against the more deadly flu/pneumonia viruses.
That is really nice news, PB. With many others I look forward to new posts and some photos.

Thanks for that Blue. I was talking with Sonny about a trip west when all that stuff developed and we fell out of touch. I miss his posts and wondered of his health and such. Glad to hear that everything is as good as can be and please tell him that my invitation to fish here still stands. It would have been a bucket list thing for Sonny, JungleJim and I to share a boat a few times, off the charts. Hoping everyone finds a way to get back to fishing regularly....
