Sunline Sniper, Gamma Touch, and Seagar Red Label are all pretty good fluoro. Vanish isn’t great. Have to be more careful with knots with small fluorocarbon. I pretty much only use a Palomar with 5lb and below in fluorocarbon.

K-9 for the flourocarbon and gamma panfish for mono with low diameter and high break strength. Scott
K-9 is fluorocarbon coated, not 100 percent fluorocarbon. Still good line for some applications but to me doesn’t fill the same spot as fluorocarbon. And I like K9 stuff, I have some of their braid and the coated stuff on some of my rods.

Thanks for the replies. I'll just be using it as a leader. What knot do you guys use to tie it to mono? Double uni?..... and would you use a loop knot with fluoro?
Fur, I’ve done better with mono leader and a double uni knot. I’ve found it’s more forgiving unless the fish are super line shy. Just my two cents.
I mostly use it as a leader on braid, have never used it as a leader on mono. I have always used a double uni to join it with braid. I have used loop knots with fluoro in the past, they work ok, just make sure the jigs eye is closed and doesn't have any rough spots. Personally haven't seen loop knot making much difference, mostly attach to jigs with a Palomar or Uni knot.
I've watched countless videos saying that crappie aren't line shy, and I've caught them with hi vis line in clear water.
Only reason I'm considering using fluoro is because Guntersville is almost as clear as a well kept swimming pool right now. It's amazing how clear the water is.
That’s fixing to change if and when we ever get some rain! Low as it is it should stain up quick!

Maybe I'm wrong but have been fishing K-9 for a long time and like it very much but don't see anywhere where it says fluro coated i.e. P-line. Looking at a spool as I'm typing. Would be curious to know if I'm misinformed. Scott
Look at their website, they have another Fluorocarbon that they market as Pro 100 percent fluorocarbon. I am not sure which line you have. Pretty sure the hi vis that most use from them isn’t 100 percent fluorocarbon. Fairly certain I emailed them or saw it on one of the older packages that the colored line isn’t 100 percent fluorocarbon. It definitely doesn’t handle like the other brands of fluorocarbon I mentioned earlier.

When using small diameter flourocarbon be careful with the Palomar knot. Make sure that the line does not cross itself in the hook eye. Seems to break rather easily.

Interesting, though I still like it as it is small diamter for 4lb at .165mm and is hi-vis though not as hi-vis as the gamma important for older eyes like mine . I guess you would classify it as a hybrid but don't think it would be classified as fluro coated like some lines. One thing I can gurantee is that there have been a lot of crappie that took a brief visit with me on the end of that line. Scott
It is good line no doubt, I use it too casting. Just not my first choice for applications that true fluorocarbon excels like fishing light jigs down to fish in 25+-. True fluorocarbon is denser and sinks and is a little more sensitive for jobs like this. I mainly use 100 percent fluorocarbon for leaders but it’s great as a main line fishing light hair jigs or other light rigs in deep water here in winter. But under some water color/light conditions it can be impossible to see above the water too and makes boat control more difficult. There are trade offs with everything.

Well after catching 31 Migratory Crappie Tuesday I decided to go out and just fish 4# test. Second drop of the jig and you can see what I caught. It took 35 minutes to get it in the net. No cheating, no chasing it down with the trolling motor. Lots of good, clean, fun! Not Fluorocarbon line but 4# test.
