I used this thread to create this poll: https://www.crappie.com/crappie/main...tical-jigging/
If the rod was mentioned in that thread, I put it in this poll. I thought it would be interesting to have folks vote.

This is two rods in my mind. Not one.

My favorite is not on the list: BnM 7½' Crappie Wizard.
BnM BGJP in 8’. Can cast, flip, or vertical jig.
GLoomis 782
If I'm going to be doing both I choose my 8' B&M Duck Commander double touch. I use a pink comal float with a slit to take off and put on as needed from Wally world. Clip on floats ain't allowed in my boat.

I’m liking my ten foot Jenko hypertense with a bobber more each time I use it.
My go to casting rod is an Abu Mike Iconeli 7' med light.

Shakespeare Micro Series 7', light action. $20 at wal-mart
it depends on my jig weight and the distance I am trying to achieve and whether or not I am using a float .
I love my 6 foot Tica without a float long distance casting and or with a float real tight to the jig 2 to 3 foot deep with a light jig
I love my 7 foot Tica with a float long distance casting at about a 4 to 5 foot depth or so with a light jig .
I love my 7 and 8 foot old prototypes ( not listed ) for larger jigs and floats set in the 6 to 7 foot deep range .
I rarely go over the 8 foot mark when casting on my rod lengths .
eyelet sizes ,line weight and reel sizes have alot of play in my mind as well , to cast well its a mix of attributes that get it done .
The problem with this poll is that it does not show up on the app. Dang it. So if you want to vote in the actual poll you’ll have to use your browser.

St croix 6'6" light action. Best I have for throwing light jigs.
Mine isn’t there either, nor is it still in production. I’m about to redo it cuz it’s just tired. If I put it in your hands for 15 minutes, you wouldn’t want to give it back. An extension of your thoughts.
My cdc 2 pice rod

For casting mine would have to be the 6' or 7'6" ACC Crappie Stix
I also really like my 10 foot BnM Russ Bailey. :fishUSA FLAG+Cross+
ABU 6'6" MH
Interesting results. Keep voting. Don't forget, you'll have to use your browser to actually vote in the poll. Poll don't seem to work with the app.
Mines not on the list so can't vote - 10ft Ozark
Mine is a Rapala 7’ ultralight. I had never seen or heard of Rapala rods. Sportsman’s Guide sent me a sale catalog that had them for $29.99. I thought what the heck, I’ve wasted lots more$$ on things that I couldn’t use. When I got it and used it, I wish I had ordered several more. It’s cork handle and has a wonderful balance. I found out later the rods weren’t marketed in the US. All the vendors for them were in Canada. I love it and wish I had more of them.

I really like the TCB rod it’s becoming one that’s being used a lot but prior to receiving it I
really like the Wally Marshall speed shooter 7’ it is a great rod for casting and shooting a jig and is very sensitive to the lightest tap!
Any more votes?
The Leland trout rod and the BnM TCB are sort of the same rod aren’t they?
Virtually identical.

Pro angler tackle 6.5’ with short handle.
St. Croix Premier series rods paired to Shimano reels.
There are so many great rods out there now. I remember when B-n-M was the big favorite . People were always saying you can't swing Slabs like I do but most rod makers now saying their rods will handle it . :twocents
I haven't voted yet, so I volunteer to bump this thread in 2037.
That is a good long time from now
