Livescoop Bargain

I pulled the trigger on a Livescoop bundle today. I did a good bit of research and talking with tech help first and decided on the 93sv unit. I was leaning towards a 1022 or 1024 because of the higher resolution with those units. I asked the tech about that in this way; " what good does it do to buy a Hi Definition TV when you don't have a Hi Definition signal?" He said Exactly; all Garmin units will deliver a good picture from the Livescoop. When I ask the major difference between the 9 and 10 series he said the 10's have a dual processor and run faster but as far as the quality of the image there was practically none. The 10 is only 1/10" taller and one inch wider. Out the door price for the bundle was $2,099.98 with free shipping and no tax plus you get a $200 rebate in the form of a Visa gift card. I purchased it from The Bass Tank and dealt with Zeke Anderson at 918-509-7864. This deal isn't on their website; you have to call and order it over the phone. Tell him James Morgan recommended him and he may give you some Lagniappe; I had to explain to him what Lagniappe is:Rofl.

I would LOVE to have livescope, but I need a better trolling motor first, 1 with spot lock is a must!!!

I"ve been keeping up with the BT forum and it seems like th 93sv and LS is the best bang for the buck. Picture clarity is reported to better on the 93 even with more pixules on the 10. There is also some talk of hummingbird coming out with there version of a forward looking sonar ,only time will tell.

I totally agree. I bought a ULTREX this year. I don't regret it one bit. It is hands down the best thing I have ever bought for my boat.

I bought one from Bass Tank last week and had them install it, they did a great job my black box is completely out of sight. I had it mounted on a pedestal that is used for a satellite receiver. Which I furnished. And got 1 year extra warranty by letting them install it. My power for it is a Dakota Lithium battery ( 12v 10 amp, I have 2 of them, just will run off 1 at a time, you can use both at one time hooked up together, but I am not. The batteries have a 11 year warranty on them, and are $99.00 each

How long will one battery run the Livescope and are they mounted in the front of the boat close to the unit?

I would LOVE to know where you got Lithium batteries for $99! We saw some Lithium batteries at the crappie expo but they start out at around $500 and go to almost a $1,000! Are you positive they are Lithium? At that price, I would double check.

$100 is about right for a 10aH lithium. When you start talking about the cranking or trolling battery is when the price goes up quite a bit.

Should be around 6 to 6.5 hours for typical use and about 2.25 hours at max power consumption, per battery. It is a broad range from 21 - 58 watt power consumption, I haven’t been able to find any info on what conditions require full draw. Most people report the typical wattage (21) as being closer to fishing conditions.

Ok, thanks. I did not know that. Makes sense though b/c the batteries the guy had at the expo were for cranking and trolling.

They are the small battery’s got them from Fish USA, look them on line.

I know y'all were talking about lithium batteries but I new cranking battery will work also right or it won't hold up for 6 or 8 hours of fishing?

In June I bought a new dual purpose battery from Batteries + Bulbs. It cost a little over $200 but it will run a livescope, Helix 12 and live well pump for 8 hours and have power to start a 60 Yamaha. It has a four year warranty.

Also for several years I have ran a couple of cables from one of the trolling batteries, installed disconnects on them and connected them to the starting battery. I've had to use them a couple of times when I did run a battery down. All you have to do is close the disconnects.
