My wife spent her 58th Birthday in Iraq. she was one of the first to go over.
PROUD to have server this Great country.
It gives me a great sense of satisfaction and pride to know I was the third generation of my family to activily serve in the US military.

When I did my genealogy back a while I found that I had ancestors in every war this nation ever fought, even back to the French and Indian war, and on both sides in the Civil War. It gives one the knowledge that you must live up to that lineage, to honor those men.

Wife and I are both retired USAF with 44 years between us.
My dad did WW2, but served in the US. My brother did Army national guard and I did USAF with 2 years stateside and 2 years in Europe. Worked weapons fire control on F4's.Wish I could have stayed in and retired. I have the utmost respect for all veteran's , especially those who gave all and those who made it a career. Also I did not post to enter the contest, instead I would like to nominate armyman, Calvin.
