Well struggled a little today in monsoon, but ended up with 10 keepers, 1 short,5 catfish,1 striper and 15 white perch, son caught one crappie almost 2 lbs weighed 1.88 and I lost another trying to horse it in right at the boat close to 2 got a little excited lol, caught in less than 10’ of water today just in a random spot on nothing.

I caught 10 only 4 keepers. The shad are not under Farrington like they have been for the past 30 years in October. Where are Shad? Are they in the creeks or 64 bridge?
They where at the farrington boat ramp in the morning time, because I had around 30 in my boat, but I seen only 3 or 4 balls of them when fishing but didn’t catch anything but white perch out of them.Quote:

I talked to a bass fisherman and he said that he was fishing long points and throwing crankbaits and marked a lot of bait in the 10 ft range also said he caught a 2.5lb crappie in about 4ft of water on crankbait.

Click on Recent Stage and Flows for the Cape Fear River Basin , then click on Haw River and Jordan Elevation to get up to the minute reporting on lake level.
