I'm a huge believer in those Litewire Hooks that Curtis Hobbs pours up. They are all I use anymore. He's super easy to work with and fast getting them out too
Glad you asked this. I've been all over the internet trying to find 1/8th and 1/16 oz heads with at least a #2 hook maybe even a little bigger. I have been tying my own jigs with a 1/16 oz head and #4 hook but that is not big enough to hold a minnow if it comes to that.
Check out Litewire and get him to make you some up with a #1 hook. I got some ballhead without a collar from him to tie up also and they have been great jigs

I like Big Bite jigs. Get them at Academy Sports, or bigbitebaits.com Litewirehooker.com has fine jigs too!
Pico has some of the best jig heads on the market. The Scope Eye Jigs have a wire keeper to prevent your plastic body from slipping and if you're using Livescope, they will show up on your display much better than other heads.

The problem I'm having is finding jigs with large hooks and large barbs on the hooks. I would like to find some that have the red hooks too.

Here are the hook sizes for the Pico Scope Eye jig heads.....They are really good hooks. 1/32 oz has #4, '1/16oz has #2, 1/8 oz has 1/0, 3/16 has 1/0 , 1/4 has 2/0, All are #32500 Mustad black nickle skipjack hooks.Quote:

Actually.....that is a different jig head. The Pico Scope Eye jig heads are different. First of all Pico does not use sickle hooks....they use Mustad black nickel Skip Jack hooks. Also the bait keeper is not a barb, but a longer wire type bait keeper. And the heads are slightly flattened where the eyes are. I also think the eyes are lightly bigger. I bought some" Pico" crank baits at Hunters Haven in Tupelo . Would they have these also ?
