Paired up the vintage DAM Quick 110 with the new Shakespeare 7' Micro Series rod last night. The fish seemed to like it.

Good lookin' rig that obviously gets the job done for sure. Keep on keepin' on with it... and keep the reports comin' in.
Thanks for sharing your new combo and your fishin' day with the rest of us.
NICE! Thanks for the photos.

Nice rig you’re using. I’m not lefty but it’s still slick.
The Dam Quick 110 is easily reversed from left to right hand retrieve.
Yep. Same for the 220 and 330. Never checked on the 550.

An old 330 saw some recent action.

Good sized crappie. Reel seat looks almost out of threads but I see it works fine.
Good eye. Not sure why the threads are maxed out. It's only a 6' light power rod. Can't see reels much larger than the 330 being intended for this rod. Thanks for so generously passing along this reel to me. It was fun to restore and a blast to fish. I still want to tie into a decent sized bass or catfish with it. The low gear ratio is good for crappie fishing though.
Switched the DAM Quick 110 over the the Okuma Celilo UL rod tonight. The dark maroon of the rod matches well with 110 and the balance is perfect! The two were made decades apart but match pefectly.
