Anyone use these jigs? Look pretty good and the prices were also very nice. How do they compare with the mr crappie and Bobby garlands? Thanks.

I use them ... almost exclusively ... for casting & trolling methods. I find them to be soft enough for good "action" and tuff enough to withstand heavy use & multiple fish.
I will also admit that I am a little biased towards them vs commercially made products, but mostly because of their action & tuffness. I'm a personal friend of Slabeye (Rodney) and have been using Slabanator jig bodies since they were first introduced .. and they have taken the place of several other brands of plastic jig bodies that I had been using for many years, simply because they work very well in catching fish.

Glad to hear it. First thing I noticed was how much less expensive they were than the other brands I mentioned. But a lot of times you get what you pay for. Glad to hear that this is not one of those cases.
Rodney does a good job. You won’t be disappointed.
I'm gonna give em a good test starting Monday. It should be pushing season starting this week. They look really good. Shipping was as fast as possible.

Rodney makes awesome baits, Ive got a couple thousand of his plastics I think. Or should I say had as Ive used a ton of them in the last 3 months.
Us Kentucky folks love slabantor jigs. They usually out fish most other plastics in my box. Plus it supports another member. Rodney is a great guy and will treat you right.

What stood out to me was how vibrant the colors are. I've ordered twice now and they are great quality and very fair priced. Service was excellent with fast shipping too. Will be buying more in the future for sure.
When I ordered mine I was sitting in my chair in my pajamas and I still got to support a local Mom&Pop. High Five..Win..Win

Jakedads I will tell you a little about Slabanator Jigs and why I started making them. I have crappie fished since i was 5 years old with my grandpa and dad and we alway used minnows. About 8 years ago i started used jigs. After I learned how to use them noticed I could catch as many or more fish on jig as I did on minnows. The only problem was I could never find exactly the right colors I wanted and the jigs was not very durable and as much as I fish it was getting in my pocket a little more than I liked. So, 6 years ago I started making my own jigs. With the help of some of my crappie fishing buddies like "crappie pappy" field testing them telling me likes and dislikes and trying several different brands of pigment and plastics I think I have got a good combination of pigment and plastic to make the jigs brighter and more durable without getting to deep your pocket.. Thank everybody for all the kind words about Slabanator Jigs. Glad you all like and even more that you all catch fish on them...
chetc I am pretty sure they are about the same only thing is. The head color looks to be long than muddy water baits. But i don't make them in 2" but do make them in 1.75", 2.5" and 3". I know that a few people that started out using muddy water has switched over to the Hot Rods.
They will be in the mail in the morning. Thank you
I have boxes full of Slabonator jigs. Slabonator jigs are deadly with Livescope!!!
I finally got to get out and field test my slabonator jigs. I was trolling that day and I couldn't catch but two or three fish on each plastic piece before it would shred. But them dang fish was knocking the paint off the jigheads as well. Catch tested fish approved.
Now if you only made PopEye jigs.

catchNgrease you said you only could catch 2 or 3 fish on a jig before it shred. I have not experienced that before. What style of jig was you using?
I caught yellow perch this weekend using slabinator scented sticks on a forage minnow jig through the ice.
OK....I see how this game is played now. Start a thread about some jigs, lure me to go look at his jigs, knowing that the pretty colors will beguile me, making me order a few, then the free shipping if I get even more jigs gets put out in front of me and the next thing I know Paypal is telling me I just sent the feller $67.
So besides jigs what other things do you guys have in store to trick into buying ?
Only have jig heads, jigs, scented slabsticks and fish counters. The biggest trick is when you start using them you will want more and more of them...
Just placed an order...I love supporting the Mom and Pop shops as much as I can.
I’m considering buying some Slabinator Booty Thumpers for longlining. Any of you guys used them for this before and if so how did they perform?
I am like pappy a don't longline but I have caught a ton of fish pushing with them....
Yes. I love them longlining and casting!! My favorite bait for either application!!

Quality product from a quality guy and customer service that you just can’t find anymore. I have 238 color combinations and counting. Makes custom colors too. None better.

That was said tongue in cheek. Mainly meaning the fish were killing them. To answer your question...it was the twister jigs with the smaller diameter body. They were also going on a 1/8 jig with a collar with a pretty sharp keeper. If I could repeat that day and have the jig torn after a couple or three fish I would be thrilled. Th fish was slamming those things.Sent from my E6810 using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app
Thanks for the reply catchNgrease
I ordered a bunch back about Thanksgiving time when slabeye had a sale going on. I have not had a chance to use them as the water here has had a "hard cap" on it.
But, knowing what has worked for me in the past during open water period, I can't imagine the new plastics I ordered will not catch fish like crazy.
It will be about 3 1/2 months before I get the chance to determine which bait will work the best.

The ones I’ve ordered in the past and Thanksgiving have done wonderful. Can say enough about the good work Rodney does. Highly recommend slabanator jigs!
My package arrived pretty quick....thanks.
Duces wild been getting it done for me!
good stuff that out last most the rest !
I received my order of “Booty Thumpers” earlier today. They look awesome!
Good price, great color selections and fast shipping = Happy Customer!
I can’t wait to head to Florida in a couple weeks to try them out!
These jigs look awesome. I just got my live scope installed and caught my first crappie on it this week. needless to say im hooked. So is anybody using these jigs for vertical jigging and if so which body styles and colors do you suggest? i fish Wilson and Pickwick most of the time so the water is fairly clear to stained most of the time. Got my checkbook out ready to order so any help would be appreciated.
I like the shad bodies the best but have some hot rods and deuces wild as well. Some of my favorites are solar ice, monkey juice, midnight snack, wildcat, blue rain, golden shiner for a few colors. I have many more though. Rodney has worked with me on custom colors before too. Actually I think I was the first for golden shiner.
I use hot rods, mini rods and deuces wild. White crappie i always start with hot rods and go from there. Black crappie i start with mini rods....my favorite colors are sumshine, monkeytreuse, solar ice, monkeyshine, monkey juice. Ice sickle for clear water.
Monkeytreuce Hot Rods in chocolate milk work great too!Attachment 394478

Sparkling Wanda and Monkeytreuse in Shad bodies have worked great for me.
