I just use my hunting gloves I think mine are redhead from bass pro... biggest thing I have learned is to keep your hands dry... take the gloves off when baiting hooks and keep a small towel to dry your hands

But the jersey gloves and some nitrile gloves would prolly do good to on the staying dry part! You can pick up a box of them at any auto parts store

I keep a 12 pack of brown jersey gloves in my boat. They are cheap and when one pair gets too wet, I just get a new pair out.
Muff with a refillable handwarmer works best for me. I also keep towels around to dry my hands when they get wet.
One trick my grandpa taught me. Take a small igloo cooler and fill it with boiling water before you leave the house. By the time you need to warm your hands it will be just right. Works all day. Just dip and dry your hands and put your gloves back on.

Those Grandpa's & Grandma's had many good tricks up there sleeves! I just wish my were still around to teach me more of them! When we were kids, we didn't think nothing about it, but now, boy, I miss them!
Tight fitting neoprene gloves never take em off even with minners

It’s true. Duck hunted for years with neoprene gloves. The wetter they get the warmer. But you can’t take the off.

If you take them off you will lose the warmth. Your hands will get cold and stay that way even when u put your gloves back on.

I use a thin cotton under some gloves made out of skin diving suit material. Neoprene. Very water proof and dry. Can feel bites good with them.
Yea,Coleman and Capps carry a warm cooler for hands
Good read, thanks for the post.
I had a friend who was a butcher. He would always have some knit gloves that he used while cutting cold meat all day. We fished during the winter and he would bring me a pair to fish in.Even though they would get wet. They would keep your hands warm. You might try looking in that direction.

I like the thinner tight fitting gloves because you have better feel when single pole fishing. Acadamy sports has a wind resistant glove that works pretty good.
I bought some of these and have not had time to test them in a wet situation, but I held frozen food for about a hour and I never felt cold through the fingers and palms.I going to get them totally wet and put them in the freezer then try them on and see how long it takes for the heat of my hands to take over. Here are a few pics.
Where did you get them ?
I read a trick on a forum, I thought it was this thread but just looked through it and didn't see it, so...
Rub vaseline on your hands. It keeps them from getting wet. I tried it yesterday and it worked well for about an hour. If I had reapplied it, it might have continued to work, but after an hour my hands were getting wet and I had to put my gloves on. I hate wearing gloves.

Just arrived this morning. Got these wool fingerless gloves from amazon and I really like them. I think these will be much better then what I have been wearing.
