Anyone catching any? We caught a few a couple weeks ago but haven't been back since and now they are lowering lake to an almost impossible level in launch your boat. Thanks
According to Duke Energy the level is on target. Please let us know if you find otherwise.
We killed them Saturday. Started at 7 and limited out before 11 at 20. Only one good one, but all good eaters.
Going down for a few days this weekend, hope water has gone down enough and it will start to clear in main channel. We will see if any are biting.
We may head back down this weekend.
The news last night was talking about how high Wateree was and how much trash had washed down from the Charlotte area. It may still be a mess.
We already have reservations so we are leaving tomorrow to see what we can find, should be better toward weekend.
Keep us posted on water conditions. I'd really like to go to Wateree or Monticello Saturday.

Got down early yesterday, set up camp at State Park, put in at June Creek, dock was torn up and could not use. Water was high and it wasn't as muddy as up river had been. We took it slow going out but hit something under water before we got out to main channel. It locked up lower unit and prop would not turn. We cracked kicker motor up and went back to dock. Something had gashed side of lower unit and guess had locked it up, Got it loaded back up, went and broke down camp and came back home. Water and dingy but not bad in June Creek. Be careful if planning to go down, did not see a lot of logs or other stuff floating but there was a Carolina Skiff floating on its side in June Creek with motor under water right across from ramp.
Hate to hear that. I know you were looking forward to trying it.
Dang! Hate to hear that.
In case you may or may not know, most boat insurances will cover "prop strikes". Dont stress over it. May take a month or so.
Not good. Sorry to hear that.
No it locked up prop, will not turn now. Yeah have filed it with insurance but guess ruined our 4 days of fishing this week and 4 next week. Hope to get it fixed before off for Christmas because we usually fish 4 or 5 days then.
No it locked it up and has hole on one side and the other has places you can see where something hit it also. Thanks
Grew up in Dallas myself.
No I'm not a fan of Norman.
Too big and too busy, even in the off season.
But won't say I'd never go.
I did go with Red once for a spring fling there in 2013.
Mainly fish Wylie, and Mt.Island some.
Been to Wateree a few times with
Sinkermaker and micorp from here.
Went to Murray and Greenwood once with sinkermaker. And Hartwell with MT hook and The Big Dawgg once.
Have had a great time with each of them and love getting up with the gang for the nightstalks.

Man I hate to hear about your motor troubles. Hope it can be a easy quick fix and you get back on the water soon.
Wonder what could have done that kind of damage at that low speed?
