Used power pro hi vis in the lower pound test and was really annoyed by it. On my son’s recommendation i tried power pro green 50 # test and it is a dream to work with...have used it on bait casting and spin cast...happy with both.

Some of the cons are
1. It's bad about wrapping the end of the pole, especially in windy conditions
2. In winter it's more prone to freezing to your eyelets and the pole its self
3. It can cut your skin if you pull against it hard
Pros
1. Great sensitivity
2. No stretch so you can really lay the wood to a fish on hook set
3. No memory so it slides through the eyelets easily
I like it for deep winter fishing so I can maybe straighten out a hook instead of retying every hangup.
Also like it for fish in Iron wood bushes where I need to take up my line by pulling my jig up to the rod tip and maneuver my tip into position to let the jig down into the opening

Same as 20Watt....
I only use 50# white braid for bass fishing...hardly ever need to change it out....never had a fish break off....limp as sewing machine thread....it will cut your hand....works best on spinning reels...have to order it online, most stores don't stock it...the white color does not seem to affect the bite....this is the one I use...you can throw it a country mile...

4# flourance green orginal fireline for at least 30 years now. Bluegill, shellcrackers, crappie and white and yellow bass and a 40#.flathead cat while fishing for whites years ago.

Don’t forget to loosen your drag a bit, braided line has been known to break rods.

It’s all I fish.
If you fish a lake where the fish are deep in the winter.
It really helps with detecting bites, and setting the hook.

Have to watch knots. Some don’t hold. Polymar best

What 20 Watt said! Don't see how line can get wrapped around the end of a pole like braid does. It's just plain aggravating on days with just a little wind. Great sensitivity and saves time on not having to re-tie unless you break the hook.

The only braid I have found that touches either Nanofil or Gliss is Suffix Nano Braid. I am also liking Fire Line is 4lb test. Nanofil is still the best thing ever for ultra light spinning, and it's not close.
I've used braid exclusively for about 15 years. I have 20# braid on almost every reel. Unless I'm pulling cranks or dipping heavy structure i use a leader, monofilament most of the time or fluorocarbon in clear water. I pre-tie the leaders and store them on a Tackle Buddy. I use a Fast Snap on my braid and a swivel on the leader. When I break off or want to change baits it can be done quickly. There is no perfect line for all conditions but this system works best for me. As I have Matured my fingers don't work as well as they used to, especially in cold weather, and it takes too long to re-rig on the water.

Tying braid knots on the water when it is cold is a pain! Very strong, small diameter, very sensitive. Go with a bigger test than you need just for the ease of tying lures on, I use 20lb or bigger.
Everything said above is true.
I like tiny braid for the ease of casting. I never go over 8, and prefer 4/6.
I really want to thank all of you for your answers. It’s help me a lot.

For most of my deep water fishing i use gravity braid . It is a sinking braid and really like it. Might want to try it.
I love braided line for single pole jig fishing. The sensitivity is unbelievable. Compared to mono, and as stated above, you can really get good hook sets with the braided line

I love braid for straight vertical jigging only! I can’t stand it casting! But the sensitivity of it on a jig pole is second to none!

My 2 cents.......
Been using spyderwire stealth glow vis for a few years now, converted from fireline.
Much cheaper than powerpro.
10 lb on spinning reel for casting and jig pole, 15 lb on cork n shiner pole.
15 lb handles nicely, either will straighten jig or shiner hook.
Yes, it will wrap on rod tip, especially when raining.
I have learned to keep rod tip below 10:00 position really helps with this.

I use both, I do love braid, no memory and it lasts a long time. I use mono in the 2-6# tests, so I can see to tie knots. I do use mono leaders with my braid, it helps with wrapping around rod tip and knotting problems.
