Getting better all the time Eric. Keep after it.
Thank you Cray. I am learning new things all the time. It’s getting the time to put it to work. Making them is what I’m I am saying. Going to be needing a heater to heat my shed/ work area this winter to keep things going...

Those look great my friend. I have always been partial to minnow fork tail lures. The saying is true "Big fish eat little fish." The more you can replicate, duplicate and imitate the Crappie food source the better your catching will be. Otherwise, you are just fishing. I like to make my minnow imitators in the following color combinations: white bottom/pearl top white bottom / light grey top pearl bottom/ light blue top pearl bottom / chartreuse top
Many times I will use a combination of powder paint with a drop or two of liquid coloring to get the hue hint of color I want. I will always use some fine silver glittering in the lure for a hint of flash. Sometimes I might also add some "spike it" for tail coloring.

Mike
Practice is the key in all phases of lure making in my opinion.

I applaud Eric's good job making his own molds. It is really rewarding when you catch fish on the baits that you make and even more so when you make your own mold. Good job Eric....enjoy your hobby. I enjoy seeing and reading about what your doing.
I have that mold only in a stinger tail. That one will be the next one I buy...
No sir I have not to be honest. I thought I had seen a YouTube video on how to do it putting a piece of heavy wire or light rod the length if the body slot of the mold, but no sir I haven’t gotten around to trying it yet...
