I like them also and the price is way up there. You can get Pico look a likes here on CDC. You won't find the color but at least you can get the action of the Bayou Boogie. I don't want to sell any I have. I go swimming for mine if I hang them up. :Rofl I'll ask my cousin he collects them also!
Ron this is not a look alike but the same plug just in different colors. They are produced on the same machinery that made the originals. You could buy a couple and have them custom painted. I have met the owner a couple times at some of the Kentucky events. I wish he would come out with some striper colors.
You know which model number it is?
I found it. Got a couple on order. Got a pearl color. Figured I could put stripes on it.

Anyone have a way to contact them? There's no contact information on any of the links on their website. I even got an email saying contact us and it goes directly to website.
PS
I finally figured out I could hit reply and it brought up an email. A chemo brain is tough to live with.

I used poor choice of words to describe Pico lures. I have thought of buying some but I have the good job with the county recycling site where tackle boxes come in to be thrown away. I get first looksee in the box to see what's left in them. I have found some very nice lures in them. This is my favorite one.

Big Dawg has pictures above . The top one by itself is it.
Thanks to Don for pointing this out about Pico lures. He posted it earlier but I had forgotten. The pico perch is the same lure as the bayou boogie.
Why don’t you just ask Mitch at Pico? He still paints a bunch of them himself by hand and might be willing to help you with any custom colors or possibly start selling them that way??? :dono Also he is member “Pico” here on cdc.

Thanks Mitch!
I tried to send Pico an email yesterday after SeaRay mentioned that he couldn't. It said it was received. Thanks for the e-mail address. I would like to get some in original colors that are good on some waters around here. Bass in the lakes love then at certain times of the year. Crappie have been caught also on Lake Wylie with this shad color. What sizes can be made?

BigDawgg, you need to pull all those lanterns that are being dumped aside, and give me a call to come and pick them up. That'll save them from the land fill.
There's a good idea.:cheers2
Yea I do, I like any that are the pump up type, pressure like the Coleman and other makes. I don't do anything with the propane type other than take the glass globes off of them. there were many makes other than Coleman. camping stoves also. I think of all of the Coleman, camping, fuel that is thrown out too. Just contact me when you have some, several, and I'll make a trip. They can be green, gray, red, nickel, stainless, yellow. many colors. Thanks. 803-466-9865, 803-794-1483
Okay, you ask for it you got it! I'll call my cousin and ask him to start looking out for them also. He works at another convenience center at Lake Wylie. We'll get you as many as we can. Lanterns and stoves! :cheers2
WOW, Haven't heard about that Lure in over 50 years. When I was in College in Columbia, S.C. in 1966 to 1969 we used to fish the Broad River for big Gar Fish with a Bayou Boogie. We caught some of the biggest I have ever seen. Lost a lot of lures but caught a lot of Gar..
Back on topic, I received two Pico Perch and they are dead ringers for the Boogie! Just need them to paint the Striper pattern and we'd be set.
I'll try and work on that pattern next weekSent from my SM-G973U using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app
The Pico Perch is a good crappie bait pushing with a 3 oz weight 3ft above it and pushing at 1.8 mph. Here is a depth chart for that method. Blueboogie and Bullfrog colors worked good for me.
