Made a trip this morning to Cypress to break in new Yamaha 90 four stroke and managed to catch 12 with crank baits. Caught most on Bandit 300's green color and fish were scattered. Been off the water the past month shopping for a new engine.

I'm jealous I have a project boat I keep working on now and then and that is my choice of motor to go on it. Glad your back in action and caught some fish.
How does that baby purr. I just finished putting on my first 10 breakin hours on my new Yamaha 70 four stroke. Boy is that baby sweet, smooth as silk and quiet as a mouse.

There ya go. Flaunting your work ethic. :yikes

I'm enjoying my new motor so far, can't believe how much quieter and smoother it runs than my old 2 stroke 90. Seems to get good fuel mileage too. Shopped around a lot and many dealers had none in stock because of the COVID garbage and found local dealer gave me the best price in Shreveport.
I’m brand new to the site...I figure by “Cypress” as in cypress bayou reservoir in Benton? Glad to see trolling cranks Is working...want to try it on cross lake.
Welcome to the site, you won't find a better bunch of people than what's on here. Yes he's talking about the reservoir in Benton, I fish both cypress and cross lake. Pulling cranks on cross can be a lot of fun if you find them. But so can cypress as well, I catch more fish on cypress, but normally if I catch a crappie on a crankbait in cross, you can almost bet that it's gonna be a hog of a fish
