5/14 Bream fishing with my favorite fishing partner!

My daughter graduated from college Saturday and she is home for three weeks until she moves away again for Law School! She wanted to go fishing! Any kind/any time she tells me. We went close to home, Dorcheat Bayou out of Doyline. I had some home grown Alabama wigglers and 50 crickets. We found quite a few beds but there was only a few fish on each bed. We pulled a few from each one and moved on. Suprisingly enough 99% of the fish were caught on the wigglers, the crickets were very slow. It was HOT out there, there was no wind and we were dying! We called it a day about 3pm due to the heat. I need to check into some of those umbrellas I guess. We ended up with 63. My grandmother will love them!:p Here are some pics for show and tell.
The first two pics are of a couple of beds. The males were going round and round the edges of them protecting them.

Here is the bounty. You can see she has already got spruced up while I have been slaving away. Now I have been elected to clean all of them!

And by the way, she baits her own hook and she also takes the fish off! I raised her right!:D

Great catch! That's a good mess of fish and some fun catching those. So your daughter is in for a while, maybe she can take me fishing and show me one of your honey holes. Just kidding! You show grow some pretty ones over there in Minden!

Glad you two were able to spend some time together. You better soak up all the time that you can get with her, cause it will be over for awhile. And, I'd say that she's a keeper if she takes fish off and rebaits the hook...;)

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies! We went again yesterday afternoon and caught 12 nice ones right off the bat then zip! We could never find them the rest of the day. I am so glad we went Monday because I really wanted her to get on them and she did. I am still trying to get her on those CRAPPIES but it is just the wrong time of year for her to get away and go.

Your daughter is lovely, but she's making a major career error. I believe she should forget about law school and just find a great guy to marry -- preferably somebody who loves bream and hates disco.

BamaFan, is your daughter going back to law school at Alabama? Cumberland at Samford? I'm in law school at Cumberland right now and I love it.

She will attend "University of Arkansas Law School" in Little Rock. This was her #1 choice.

Glad to see you still get to take her fishing. My daughter is 28, an archeologist and lives mostly in Europe and Africa now. But everytime she's home the first thing she says is "Dad, can we go fishing tomorrow." If you're every up here visiting her, drop a line on the Arkansas board and go fishing with us. It's a great bunch of fisherman there.
