What a great catch:D I believe I have fished tournaments with cheaters before and its a sickening feeling to find out you you fished hard all day and never had a chance:mad: Hats off to the game wardens. great story.
It is a shame what people will do to gain acceptance in a community. How ironic, that he cheated to gain acceptance of his friends and then ended up loosing all of them. I hope he can one day rejoin the fishing community, but I doubt that he will ever regain any respect of his fellow counterparts...
Sad. Here is a lonely guy who just wants to make friends. But, he goes about in the wrong way. In my experience, if you are very good at something, the truth will out eventually. Your experience will speak for you and others will want to be around you. But, cheating is never right, if you can catch em why the fake? Now, this guy will have to move somewhere and start over, but with a black eye that shines even in the dark.
I bet this goes on a lot in these little tournaments...Thats why I dont like fishing them..
I was in a bass tourney in Texas on the Bend about twenty years ago. Some how they caught a guy putting lead shot down a fish's gizzard. I wonder if they use metal detectors now. I didn't catch any bass that day, but I did get into the crappie. They didn't appreciate them at the weigh in either.
My scales fell overboard one day. So now if somebody wants to claim a 3 pounder from my boat, they can do so without a guilty conscience.

If you can't play fair, don't play. I don't want to know how many cheat!

Thanks for posting the article.
Just another reason not to tourney fish. They weigh everything so you cant lie about your catch.
By the way boys I caught a limit of 3 pounders today on the Little Maumelle. They were hittin a bare hook in 3 feet of water on the East bank.
Durn Gooch ,I hope you did'nt keep them little ones. He He !:DQuote:

I agree. Wasn't there a fellow last year on a tourney up on lake Dardenelle tying some bass around some stumps or something? Seems like it was a B.A.S.S tourney too.
I am young. 24 years old matter of fact. This has never happened to me that I "know of" -- however, I have a sneaking suspicion that the fish basket suspended is happening more and more because I have snagged two in the past month and both held largemouth! (I don't fish for those green carp) !!
I warn you if you ever do this to me and I catch you I will hit you like Billy Sims on an iso, right out of your boat....no joke! I'm not real big, but I am feisty!!!!! hahahahaha

Easy lil fella, you'll just get mad and turn green, all ure clothes will rip off, and nobody wants thatQuote:
