We live off the venison and fish!! Wish we had wild hogs in Ohio. So the only meat we have to buy is pork and chicken. Bought some hamburger (80/20) a year ago and was shocked at how much grease was in the pan after frying![emoji15]

Chippewa, there are plenty of hogs in SE Ohio, particularly Vinton County.

man do we eat cheese at our house , we buy it in 5 lb blocks . sharp is one of our favorites . at any given moment there is most assuredly 6 to 8 different varieties in our cheese locker in the frig :cheers2

Do y'all have restaurants that don't know difference between field peas and blackeye peas? Most of the time if they list field peas on menu it's actually black eye. I like both but field peas are my favorite.
Also love speckled butter bean but almost never see those on menu.
Bowl of speckled beans and cracklin corn bread is bout as good as it gets.
