Afraid if things don't loosen up that we will see lots of business' fold up !:yikes
Very sad, It's not looking good for the Mom and Pop operations of any kind.
That is terrible and I sure hate it for them. I was truly excited about having a place to grab lunch over there that was on the water. The timing for them couldn’t have been any worse. They really did that place up nice.
If they would have had it open starting in February, they would have had the best year they have ever had! Horseshoe has been very busy all year. I hear yesterday had over 100 vehicles in the AGFC lot again.
I'm not trying to stir up trouble, but I just have to insert a thought here.... And I'm somewhat sure we'll all agree...
Covid-19 didn't shut those folks' business down... Regulations shut that business down. Regulations made and implemented by folks who don't fully understand what they're doing. And yes... we will most definitely see many more folks lose their businesses if we don't find a reasonable way to loosen up.
I would agree with Loop, except for the fact that I believe they know exactly what they are doing. People can feel free to call it what they want, but IMHO it's called government overreach and it's sole design is to keep the fear and chaos alive and stall the economy at least through the election; which is exactly the function of all the protests, rioting and looting that are promulgated and stirred by many liberal leaning cities across our nation. In their minds: This political agenda to unseat Trump is more important than any American or group of Americans and/or their prosperity and/or their rights and/or their liberties and/or the Constitution. Why this is not treasonous or seditious lawlessness is far beyond my understanding.
1.2 M. That's a lot of cheeseburgers to sell to get a return!
You’re right about that. When you take into consideration that the land alone cost over $2000.00 a frontage foot, and he completely razed the entire property building it back from the slab up, and spent thousands on all the new piers, boat slips
restaurant equipment, and all other expenses involved in opening a new business like that, I can guarantee you he had a big chunk of change in that place. So much, he may never find a buyer. Maybe he will work a lease if the right person(s) come along.
It would be nice to be able to pull up mid day and grab a sandwich. Hopefully they will find a buyer.
What regulations are we talkin about?
