I've never owned one, so could use some suggestions. I'm running 2 group 29 batteries on my trolling motor, and a 27 on my cranking/ helix battery. What's a good middle of the road charger?

I have same setup as you. I use the MinnKota Precision 3 bank. 3yrs no problems at all. Plug it in at dark and it’s ready to go at daylight.

I have a precision 2 bank, 212 (6 amp per bank ) precision (upgraded to 24 volt trolling motor ) . The ability to charge different batteries is a plus . Program to what you have and it stays set . I use a old single trickle charger for cranking battery and lights . Will upgrade to a 3 bank precision when this one goes bad .
If you trolled all day how long would it take to charge with 5 amps?

I think you won’t be disappointed in one or the other. Just depends on how much you want to spend. How fast you want to charge.

This picture was different from the first. Do you use 5 amp or 10 amp?

I also use Odyssey group 31 marine batteries. Two for 24v trolling motor and one for cranking battery.

This promariner has been doing the job for now about 7 years. Hooked up 24/7 all those years.

I have a Minn Kota 2 bank charger. Has been good. I had to get the 5 amps per bank, as the larger one would not fit.
I run a MinnKota 345 on my trolling motor batteries and a MinnKota 230 on my crank/electronics batteries. I need QUICK turn around so 15 amps per bank for me but they aren't cheap.
I like the 10 or 15 amp charger.
