To me they will hit good all day but I think they hit best from 7 am untill 10:30 am
All day for me.
It's all good but prefer daylight till 11 A.m.
Moon charts - good place to start for time of day.

We have been thinking about trying it at night with the temps lately.
Hotter the better! My theory is high sun pushes them down right on the thermocline and they become much easier to target...... meaning I can adjust the size of my baits, speed and length of line to get that crank right in front of them.

I have trolled several times at night with little success. The one time I did ok was a bright moon using dark shallow baits.

All black 300s work good at night and on cloudy days
One things for sure after dark on The LOZ.... gives more than just about any lake.
It can be just about anytime of day and typically comes in a flurry. I only troll LOZ and have had very good luck during the spawn, post spawn, summer. During the spawn you can load up on females still holding in deep water in spawning coves. Post spawn you can catch them in the same place as they start to move out. Once the heat sets in and the water gets over 80 degrees I have more luck on the main channel section of the lake, or main channel of the major creek arms.
