I've heard of fish coming with a salad, but this is ridiculous! Some others joined the party.

That slimy stuff is the worst. We call it snot grass.

I thunk that stuff was some kind of algae and it is YUCK …..I do think you are onto something because SNOT GRASS fits it well …..:Rofl

That stuff looks slimy, nice Gills though. They are colored up nicely right now.

Nice fish. The salad you could do without. I caught a small Sunny the other day that was so covered with snot ths5 I wasn’t even sure there was a fish in there! LOL

Nice fish! It is called filamentous algae. It can be a pain in the rear on some lakes.

The pond/lake is starting to have more and more of it as the weather heats up. I was out on a jon boat bass fishing this morning and there was some but not much. By late this afternoon it was everywhere. These 90 degree days and making it bloom.

I thought the first gill was a bass for a while. It was SOOO heavy!
