Tomorrow I bring her in for a motor change. I’m going from a two stroke 50 to a four stroke 70, Yamaha of course. I’m hoping that peps her up a bit.

I hear four strokes get better fuel economy
my 70hp 4 stroke yamaha sips gas on my 18 ft pontoon, 12 gallon of gas lasts me 4-5 trips unless I rip up and down lake pulling a tube for grand kids.. fishing it is very cheap to run.
Way to go Gene....i have 90 four stroke Yamaha....love it.
Always nice to be able to upgrade.
Congratulations on the new motor. I'm confident you will enjoy your Yamaha four stroke and you will never look back. I have a Mercury Pro XS 115 four stroke... and I am truly amazed at (both) the power, fuel efficiency and the quietness.
Please remember to post pics and your complete review of the new motor and the differences when you get it all put together.
The only thing I miss about a two stroke motor is the smell when you crank them on a cold morning.
Dat"s what I've been waiting to here.
Congrats PPG!
You’ll love it, way better gas mileage.
Hope your hat has a string on it!

She sure is purdy. Congratulation Brother. I bet you have a path worn out in the yard... walkin' outside just to look at 'er.
Oh boy, that sure is nice. You and Ms Linda pack a lunch and take a long boat ride and break it in.
Bruce check the pictures on post # 16. My CDC app has crashed and I can't post from my phone where the pics are. My computer won't load pics from my phone. Maybe I should have bought a new phone and computer.

Nice paw paw! Now I'm gonna have to take a ride to Houma to take a ride in her with you! lol
Dwayne You're welcome anytime.

Dwayne I wish I could make it happen right now but I can't. Linda will have surgery on her left rotator cuff nest Tuesday. After she has healed enough maybe we could give it a shot. I still need to get together with JR to fish his favorite river and maybe also the Lac. I also have to find time to finish breaking in the new motor. I only have 1.9 hours on it, Linda's Dr. appointment has keep me out of it and now the rain and a storm. I need to finish my second hour on it and then I can ride it to 4000 rpms with an occasional burst to wide open. After 10 I can go for it.

Yes, we know who our friends are. Thanks
Shadow will break it in for you
