It's Summer Time
Well, here's the fish fry from the load of bream my buddy and I hauled in yesterday on Wheeler. Did one batch in Panko and the other in corn meal. Wife liked the panko and I prefer the corn meal. They were right tasty for sure!

I like to do BG and smaller crappie like he does whole,

Honestly, after doing all that, I think I'll stick to the fillets, just easier, not as messy and taste as good or better without the trouble and time to get there.

What size hook do you use with red worms?

Bob D,
I agree, I got in the habit of boneless filets when the kids were young so I didn't worry about them eating fish. Now I filet Catfish, Crappie and gills. Just seems to make the eating process easier!

×2 Bob more trouble that it's worth

With the small mouth on the bream I like #8 or 6 hooks. Trick is not to put too much worm on the hook. !/2 worm can catch a lot of fish before you need more bait. Although some of these monsters we were able to put our fingers done their mouths to remove hooks.
