I told myself I only needed 2 decent size crappie for dinner , I kept 3 a little on the large side ,we cooked them when I got home for dinner and we ate 1 , now I am in trouble YET AGAIN ! She said why did you keep 3 that big ?….and I said well honey I planned on only 2 …..she said so why did you keep 3 ? ….I said um …...I dunno :dono
Silly me should have stayed with the plan , I should have left with the 2 fat 11 inch fish I yanked out right quick and pitched in the bucket . But NO , mister I got a plan starts culling and giving away the 11 and 12 inch fish and then gets the BRIGHT idea to keep 3 of the larger versions instead of 2 regulars and thank goodness I didn't get all really ding dong and keep all 17 and the magnum sand bass that about pulled me off the boat ramp dock :Rofl
One thing for certain about this episode , when you have about 2 to 5 foot of line hanging off you rod tip in 3 to 6 foot of water and springtime agitated slab crappie hammers it so hard it about dislocates your wrist ….it a good thing if its a durable fiberglass 6 footer with a sweet smooth drag on a nice Shimano reel for sure …..:highfive
Now for sure I could have limited easily if I was in the mood and to be sure the guys on the dock were more than happy to have my "culls" , but in the end I was already in kind of the human greed mode and had to stop myself and say hey mister ……
JUST STOP IT , you are WAY out of control :Rofl
the good news is I gave that bad boy jig to the one fella that was all interested in it and to be sure it was just MAGIC and a good number of fish to both of the other anglers along with some plastics ,so in the end I at least tried to compensate with an few acts of generosity to offset the greed in me wanting to keep to many and keep ripping them out of the water .
in the end and as always I stay in trouble but none the less …..
KABOOM is the word for ever and ever my friends :cheers2
p.s. AND it could have happened that way you know rotfl
