Took us six hours but...
...was able to get two limits. Fished around noon till around 6. Lake was packed. Pert near able to walk across the lake from boat to boat in some areas. But glad everyone is out and taking advantage of the good weather and the good bite.
By 3:15p the two of us had like 10 fish. It was slow. Pick a few up here, move, pick up one more, move, etc. Finally went back to the first place we stopped and the cove was empty. Started picking up one here, one there. Before you know it we had about 20 and Nick was like, "We can finish our limits!" I was 'bout ready to go.
But, we stuck it out and finally finished. Might be just me, but...over the last three times I've been out, seems like the later the day got, the better the bite got. The quality of the fish has actually been decreasing, too. We actually brought back 32. Had at least two that were probably under 9, and several that were right on the line, but...they were nice thick black crappie so...they filleted up nice.
Time to rest up for a few days before COVID-CAMP 2020!! Getting back after it Wednesday or Thursday.

Thanks for the false report keeping me off the lake for the second time yesterday - JK
I used my time for a better cause anyway. I cooked a crappie dinner with tots and hush-puppies and delivered to my mom and my mother in law.
There were very thankful and enjoyed Door Dash for Crappie.

Nice job guys. Truman was packed this weekend as well. Looked like a Holiday weekend. You did better than we did lol, but I agree with you it seems the bite gets better later in the day. Another couple days of warm weather and I dont think it will matter.
