Made another trip to Truman yesterday with my daughter. Set up in a feeder cove, they were biting like crazy. At first we were dialed into the 9-10" variety and finally started to keep 10's before heading into deeper water. Ended up with quite a few 12's and at least one 13". Had our limits with little discernment and ran out of minnows (3-4doz) by 11am.
The larger fish were in about 13FOW all were biting 8-10ft regardless of overall depth. Water temp was 58.
My dad followed in his boat and gave up trolling and just anchored in the middle of the cove where the rest of us were circling him, he put 12 in the boat.
Talked to several guys saying they were on the banks. But after talking more they all said they were casting up on the bank then dragging out at least 8-10ft from the shore and getting bit in 8-10FOW... I brought home quite a few fat ladies, they haven't laid yet.
Had at least one boat follow us around asking what we were doing...That's so fun!
