Man, I would love a mess of those brutes. Funny, I was watching YouTube earlier on how to locate shellcracker in the spring. I may give it a try this week. Good job!!
Now that’s a mess of fun for sure congrats on them. I just don’t envy you having to clean all them.
WOW !!! now that's nice mess of crackers for sure !!! Bean , you wore them out Congrats on a fine day of fishing and some good fish too !!! and for sharing the pictures !!!!
Man, what a fine mess of shellcrackers. My second favorite fish to catch. Congrats!
Way to put them in the boat!! Bean, thanks for the report and congrats on the catch. Those are some beautiful crackers and some mighty good eating :)
Best catch of shellcrackers (we used to call em "chink-a-pins" back in my Mississippi days nearly 50 years ago) I've seen in awhile! Were those caught in a lake or pond?

Way to go Bean! That's a box full of crackers. I know they were fun to catch. Nothing pulls like a big shell cracker.

Good eating right there. My buddies daughter calls them snapcrackers. Loves to eat them. She wants to know when we are going to catch some more snapcrackers!
My buddies are down at Stumphole this week. I'm supposed to go in about a month if I can put these chemo easier for awhile.
Last treatment today then they do scans and evaluate.
We broke up group into 4s so we can isolate.
I hear Murray has a bunch too. Got no idea where to look though. Nice catch!

Ken,
Try creek and bay points in Bear Creek 5-20 FOW. We hired a guide and he anchored front in 1O' and back in 20'. This Pattern is good on any point where you see clam shells along the shore. We fan cast around 6-8 rods around the boat on bottom with worms.
That way we were covering 5 to 25-30 foot depths.
His rule 30 minutes no bite time to move.
I had never fished for them this way. It works if the conditions are right.I
