Three’s a Charm.
I may be a little slow but I know a good time when I have one. The last two weeks I’ve done well and with my vacation starting as of punch out time yesterday I had to go back for more. I wasn’t disappointed. Once again I was home early, 10:30 this time. More traffic today than I’ve seen in weeks, maybe months. Come on Monday when these folks go back to work. Got a bunch of shorts and was broken off 3 times during my trip. One was a catfish whose mouth was bigger than a baseball. Saw that once and he headed west shortly before my 2lb line gave out. But back to the positive. I wasn’t alone and all of us were catching fish. The only reason I left is because I was hungry. Met a real nice guy, we fished close together and didn’t aggravate one another. Look forward to seeing him again. One of the folks I work with has been asking so he got today’s keepers. All he kept saying was “look at those slabs!”. He was reasonably happy. Hope y’all get out and enjoy some of this, hope to see you there. Til then..... Skeet
PS..... got the side image hooked up, look forward to finding some bluegill beds

Buckeye, I thought the same thing today when I went back for some more. So many go and have mixed results, but I have this to go to and have fun, be done early, and give some folks some fish that they can’t get for themselves. I work with a man we call”Peanut”, and he’s about as nice a guy that you ever want to meet. Ive been telling him for near three years that he would get some fish, but something always gets in the way when it comes time for delivery. Today was his day, and he had a big smile. I didn’t get any pics, suffice to say there were some smaller ones as he likes to cook some whole. Three were in the 13” neighborhood and made him smile real big. This was at the place I work and one of my bosses came out to see what was going on. He looked at me and said “ you just fish for the heck of it?” What could I say. I said yes, but I also have some in the freezer. He just shook his head. The way he looks at it is that if he’s going to go through the trouble to get the fish, they’re gonna be on his table. If that was the case, I would eat fish much more often than I do. I feel that I’m fortunate to be able to pass it on, not everyone is. Maybe I’ll see you out there one day soon, til then........ Nice going Tim, short but sweet trip. I do the same with most of the fish I bring home goes to the neighborhood. Have a great vacation and catch a bunch.

...Keep some for the family and give away some to people less fortunate. A blessing for all involved. Great job Skeet!
