I see some discoloraction but I don't see any bars that white crappie have.

That’s 100% black Crappie, must have some sort of pigmentation problem
Neat looking. Thought it has something to do with sunlight or amount of light they get

I’ve only seen black crappie on greenwood but that doesn’t mean white can’t be there...

Saw a picture of one like that, but one half of the fish was completely white & the other half was normal coloration. Richard Green, Weiss Lake Guide showed it to me, a LONG time ago, so I don't remember if it was one he caught or just one he had a photo of or even which half was normal. :dono
Think he ran out of sunscreen!

I have seen some with mixed light and dark colors but that one is a black no doubt.
Bet it tastes the same in grease. Thanks for sharing. :biggrin
