Trolling or single pole? When I fish Norfork tightlining I fish Trout Magnet 2 lb SOS and if the water is really clear I’ll tie on some of their 2 lb flouro leader. Have had good luck with it.
Single line. I fish Greer’s Ferry most of the time
“Eenie meenie miney mo” is an excellent method for choosing a line.
Everybody on this forum uses different line, and everybody catches fish. It’s 100% personal preference.
Usually Crappie not real line shy . in brush you might not want to use real light of line . Some guys use lighter line for casting distance . Most places I use 8lb but 6 lb might be a good choice .
Crappie magnets and SOS Designed on Greers Ferry for Greers Ferry..
Not trying to sell but pass along..
Can't beat their stuff..My opinion
On Greers, Norfork, Bull Shoals
Stay away from the cover can't Express that enough..Livescope has verified this to me..
At least a long cast away from the cover..
Keep your Trolling motor out of the cover..
Its clear they are spooky...Stay away..

I use 4# hi viz line, in the clear water, no problem- staying away from the fish is the only way to catch them- cast to them with a jig, spinner or RR= you can use a slip cork.
I use Mr. Crappie camo 6 lb. line. My friend uses 4 lb. bright yellow line of some make. Not sure who puts that yellow line out. Anyway, he and I are usually about even on the fish catching. Can't say that the camo does better than the yellow. I don't really think it matters all that much. Just my opinion.
Good of luck to you.
My eyes aren't what they used to be so I really like the chartreuse Hi-Vis stuff. I watch my line for bites as much as feel for them but not so much anymore as my eyes are glued to the LiveScope screen. I just like how much better I can see my line to tie knots or untangle a tip, ect. If your concerned at all about line color attach a #14 swivel and about a 2 foot leader of clear line.
