Shallow specks

It sure has been nice the last couple weeks catching shallow fish on a flat without timber. It’s like being on vacation not having to tie on jigs and bending hooks. I have been catching 25-40 a trip in a 2-3 hour trip. The only trouble is the line sides have been eating me up. Great pictures, looks like old dog is enjoying sucking up some of that sun shine also.

That'll work right there for sure. Those are some nice sized slabs there.

so they are spawning on those shallow flats? Mostly males. Uh hate to tell you buy there's a dead dog in one picture. LOL

They are spawning in the hydrilla. I’m pulling on the flats right beside the hydrilla. I’m catching mostly females. I will catch a few males each day. That old black dog don’t have a care in the world.
