So does this really mean I can’t go out in the middle of nowhere by myself and fish?

From the text of the order....
- To engage in outdoor activity. A person may leave his or her place of residence to participate in outdoor activity that involves fewer than 10 people so long as the person maintains a consistent six-foot distance from other persons.

Thanks for posting the link. I took off work next week to fish, I was worried I might have to work instead.
The ADNCR sent out an email saying it is still ok to fish even with the order so long as you stay six feet apart so......fish on fellas!
Can't get much more isolated than a single man kayak, LOL!
Also fishing is considered essential if you pack a cooler, ice and intend to clean and eat your catch. Just be sure that you cover your face, carry sanitizer with you if you have to stop at a gas station or a store on the way to and from the river/lake.
Fished last night. Shoulda stayed home
Just tie a kayak on your truck and go wherever you want.
The stay home order DOES NOT prohibit fishing. Outdoor activities, including fishing are considered essential activities as long as your practice social distancing ( 6 feet away from other people).

Folks, please don't panic as many in the fake news media wants you to do.
Read the order for yourself, beginning with the title that explains the objective in Alabama:
"ORDER OF THE STATE HEALTH OFFICER SUSPENDING CERTAIN PUBLIC GATHERINGS DUE TO RISK OF INFECTION BY COVID-19(APPLICABLE STATEWIDE)AMENDED APRIL 3, 2020"
In summary, the intent is to prohibit large gatherings of people, maintain social distancing, and defines "Essential Activities". A new item included restricts stores that are open now to not exceed 50% capacity AND 6 foot distancing.
Wash your hands and pray, people!

It would take a lot of cops to get all the people I've seen on the lakes the last 2 weeks. It's like the 4 of July on every lake I've been to.

I went to Little Bear Reservoir today and the parking lot at the boat launch was full, but no problem keeping the proper social distance.
Martin slowed a bit
BTW - Walmart has announced they will reduce the number of customers in the stores to 20% capacity, that's below the 50% rule the Governor announced. Walmart says when that limit is reached, incoming will be held back in an area respectful of the social distancing requirement, and the rule will then become "When one goes out, one can go in".
Each location capacity will be determined by their square footage...

Maybe that will cut down on all the hoarding !
