I wish, I knew! So sad but this is bad stuff. Pray, Pray & pray!!!!!
What I read on WTVA 9 News website... I thought that their do's and don't list said that you could do outdoor recreation as long as no large groups and social distance...at least 6 ft. was practiced.
G, from what I understand, walking and hiking trails will be open. All other access closed. Anyone? This is getting confusing.
arent the corp ramps technically closed now!
This is from the FB page of the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District for Barnett.
I don’t think that this is a hunting and fishing issue. Shelter in place means stay home. I don’t know what to make of it, but this CV is getting serious and we need to control it. From what I have seen, this social distancing is not working. We have to pray for a quick end to this mess. I own a small retail store, and will have to close for three weeks. I am as unhappy as anyone, as this is my living, but I have to deal with it. Be safe and God bless.
From what I understand there were large groups of people on Barnett they were several groups with their boats rafted together and just partying down. Assuming rangers and wardens must have gone to the powers to be and that’s what brought this on. Saw one post on Facebook where someone talked to comps about ockatibbie and were told they were open right now. So who knows, Gov may go to corps and get that shut down also. It would be nice if you could go launch load and fish without contact but that’s not going to happen. Yes it sucks but if we don’t all do our part it’s only going to get worse.
I wonder if I can get a refund on my sippi fishing license?
I just got a text with this info
Good news
I wanted to clarify some confusion about Grenada Lake and Governor Tate Reeves Executive Order and press conference yesterday. For all 4 Corps of Engineers Lakes nothing has changed. I talked to Chris Terry, Manager at Grenada Lake, and current conditions still apply. All trails, pavilions, parks, fields, playgrounds, Camping sites, the Visitors Center, etc. are gated and closed at least through the month of April. All boat ramps anywhere around the lake are open as is fishing at the Spillway on the North side. Access to the south side of the Spillway is closed. Until there is a directive from the State of Mississippi's Fish, Wildlife and Parks, there will be no change. The campground below the Spillway managed by Hugh White State Park is now closed. However, you can park on the North side of the Spillway and walk trails in that area. The Hugh White State Park Cabins are closed and will
not be taking reservations until further notice. I will keep you posted as I hear any updates. Gary Worsham, Executive Director, Grenada Tourism Commission. Call me at 662-614-4500 if you have any questions. Thanks.
I saw that a little while ago. Thanks for posting this, G.Quote:

I'm playing it safe with this heart condition. There are people out there on top of this that know way more than I do.This will give us all time to get closer to God, our families, and get all the honey do things completed that we have been putting off.Clean out the garage.Paint the house.Landscape the yard. Repair the fence.Get that boat and trailer in tip top shape. Sort out all that thousands of dollars of tackle we own. Put new line on our 100 reels that we own.Give them pig crappie a year to rest and multiply and get larger.Bank as much money as we can and hope we get a all clear by this fall.Prayers going up for all members of this site and their families that God will protect us and give us strength in this very hard time of our lives! And that God will heal this world and because of this we will become more caring people and realize just how good we do have it. Amen and Amen!:pray
:11 PM Public lakes and reservoirs are closed but private lakes are open. Hunting is allowed as long as it's within the law.
Please be patient with us as we work through this
I just got this by email from Governors office.
I’m just getting over this. Had flu and corona at same time. Trust me you don’t want what I had. I’m free and clear as of tomorrow. I thought I was going to die last Friday and Saturday. Please take this serious. I was careful, washed and sanitized my hands often, didn’t rub my face. Still got it. You don’t want to bring this home over some fish.
On the other hand I’m immune now so I’m going fishing lol. Y’all stay home.

I actually do. I had three coworkers test positive. One had been to a party with someone that had it in Hernando and another went to Los Vegas for a few days.
It comes on slow. I just had a dry cough for a day or so , then wham. Tired and weak as dish water. Never ran a fever until last Saturday night when I went to er because I couldn’t breathe. Health Department is too concerned with fever. I had called several times asking to be tested but they wouldn’t because I didn’t have a fever.
