I've been using these knives for over 20 years. I've never had any problems until the last 3 years .I have 3 knifes with all the same problems the trigger keeps sticking. Does anybody have a solution.

I had one I used forever but when it finally gave it up was so disappointed to look at reviews and find out they moved mfg to china and quality tanked with nothing but complaints and had become very pricey. tried couple other brands and mr twister has been most dependable for a decent price. JMHO
I personally use the mister twister brand and have worn a couple out over the years. I have also used several regular ordinary electric knives and honestly don’t know that there is a difference between an electric fillet knife and a regular electric knife. I normally remove fillets and skin with the electric and then trim ribs and clean up the fillets with a regular fillet knife.
I truly hope my American angler does not give up, I have used it for 40yrs, it is still going.
To try to answer your question. I would disassemble one and try to figure out where and why it’s sticking. Is it sides of trigger rubbing or is it sticking on pin that holds it in place. Most anymore have a plastic lug or pin molded int trigger that sets in a grove on either side of knife body. I’d clean that real good and use a tiny bit of dielectric grease and lube that pin.Quote:

A good cleaning, lube and checking the trigger for catching point is a good idea. Used electric knives before, but I still like to hand filet more. It's not as easy to mess up and just as fast. Of course I have fileted 1000s of fish over the years. JMO
There is a spray product that is an electrical contact cleaner that I have used many times on various items to correct problems like this. It might work in this situation.
