Does it really matter what color jig head is used?
Sometime yes it does
It matters just as much as line color. In other words, it depends on who you ask.
It matters to me ! To the fish ???
Probably less than the color of the plastic bait you put on it :twocents
I've seen times where a red head jig simply out produced other colors
I know a spot come winter if you don’t have a pink jighead you can buy one for 5 bucks .
Yes it matters sometimes and no it don’t other times , I don’t why and not always sure where or when ,but it can make all the difference
I have thrown painted heads against the rocks until the paint came off. Caught just as many fish.

Not to me so much, but I do tend to use black, pink, and unpainted more often than not!
I vote cool painted jigheads matter , I get a kick out of the way they look in lips myself :Rofl
Probably not, but for the live of me I can not fish an unpainted jig head.
I like my jig heads to complement the plastics I’m using or the jig I’m tying. So for me yes it matters. It’s really just whatever you’re confident using.

I like the third color so I usually do use painted but grey is a color also . Either works .
used plain head jigs for years and caught tons of crappie, think body color matters more then anything.
Whatever you have confidence in is all that matters.
