Wireless trolling motor suggestions or dont buy suggestions

I just need the buy/don't buy real truth...
Ive looked at all the web sights, I already know there engineered to Up sell ya. Freshwater
I want is a Wireless trolling motor 12v 54" 55lb or more thrust, no sonar ect with foot pedal to use as option.
Do not want to use my phone in any way to use it. because it will not be with me...
Trolling for crappie ect, I don't need the #70 24v motor guide anymore and i'll save the weight.
Its just an alum vt-19 and not trying to fish 20mph cold front..anymore..lol

I have the 55 terrova I pilot with foot pedal. Love it. Pulls my 17 ware eagle just fine. More than satisfied with it. New spot lock would make it even better.

I’ve got a MK powerdrive with ipilot. 12v 55” shaft. Comes with the remote on the lanyard. Has the option to use with phone if need be, but I’ve never used it. It also has the option to get the foot pedal, which I don’t have. I got mine from Brian at BBG marine. Highly recommend working with him. Great guy, got me a good deal. I’ve got the terrova 55 and really like it. I don’t troll but if I did I would sure have to have one. I bought the foot petal with mine but don’t like it (it’s electric). I use the remote with mine but you can connect your phone to it if you want.

I have 24v now. I wonder if 12v really cuts down on troll time. Ill buy the biggest 12v one sold , not a problem.
I would use it maybe 6-8hours troll time a day..
Can 12v handle that..? Thanks for any and all help...

I have the #80 24v terrova on my 1756 G3. With ipilot. Came with foot pedal, but never use it. If you’re wanting to stay with 24v. I couldn’t tell the difference in weight when I upgraded.

In a nut shell figure at best half the trolling time with 12v vs 24.....I'd never go from 24v down to 12v...especially if you have a 24v system already.

I have an Ulterra with IPilot link I use my foot pedal more then I do the remote mostly when I am fishing up front as it is much easier to use the foot pedal when fishing then the remote. When trolling then I use the remote me personally would never not have a foot pedal.

I just put a new Terrova on my boat. I have a 17'-6" deep V Tracker.
I opted for the 12v 55# 54" shaft. Here's why
-I went with the MK because of the remote. The MK's have a screen on the remote so you can see what's going on. With a MG there is NO SCREEN ON THE REMOTE so you'll have to link it to you electronics in order to see what's going on.
-I looked at the 12v vs the 24v and was going to go with the 24v but before buying I emailed MK and asked if there was a down size to overpowering a TM on my boat. Their reply was to NOT overpower because they said the spotlock performance could suffer. Spot lock was the main reason I upgraded the TM. On the MK website there is a boat weight VS thrust formula that MK advised I follow. (at least 2# of tm thrust for every 100# of fully loaded boat) I followed their recommendation.
-On a 12v you have a choice of a 45" or 54" shaft. On a 24v your choice is 45" or 60" shaft. The 45" only has 32" of shaft below the bottom of the mount, so it's way too short. I really did not want that 60" shaft available on the 24v.

Now I've only used my TM 3 or 4 times but I have to say I love it so far. I had a cable steer before this so getting used to the electric steering is taking a little getting used to but I'm getting there. The spot lock is fantastic and we've used in winds up to 20 mph and swirling/gusting. Mind you it's not perfect but it is way better than I could ever do and even better than using an anchor. The 12v has plenty of power for me and I do have 2 batteries on the boat. Most of my fishing sessions last 6-7 hours and I haven't put a dent in the batteries yet.
So far no regrets for me.

I got a Terrova, 12v, 55#, 45" shaft in July of last year. Put it on a 16' aluminum Tracker.

I absolutely LOVE it ! I do not know how I fished for so many years without it ! Definite game changer.

I got the foot pedal, and, for me, it is a welcome addition to the remote ….. Especially when maneuvering in tight quarters. I find myself looking at the remote too often in these situations, and not where I'm going !!! The familiarity of the foot pedal makes a big difference to me. If I had to put a percentage on foot pedal time, I'd say 10% +-.

I have serious back, and hip problems, and with a standard trolling motor, my fishing days were limited. This is a Godsend to me, as I can fish waaaaayyy longer, and from anywhere in the boat. Spotlock is a MUST !

I run a 12 volt with 2 - 27 series batteries connected parallel and have ran all day with a 55 lb motor

Thank you to all that have replied, once again I have no luck..
I decided to get the kids out of the house. Called bass pro Orlando. Hour away. I called, asked I want the minn kota terra ect. Do you have them in stock? Yes sir we have all of our trolling motors In Stock...Great hour I be down.. Get there..All I wanted was the #55 54" 12v.. First try nope, not instock, second pic not in stock...I finally said I don't care what it costs give me one with wireless and or foot control fresh or salt water what ever...They had Zero...Zero....Its was a great drive with nobody on the road..
What really burns me..I called ahead...And I know darn well there was no rush on trolling motors before this virus...I try to use local people, but :banghead amazon got the sale..
I don't even like amazon....ugh...Itll be here in 3 days...

I used to Bass Fish with a footcontrol motor. Now have a wireless. It is ok for catfish but the foot control is much faster to change directions and more responsive. By foot control I mean the cable controled and not any kind of electronic. The wireless you have to use hand to change speed and direction and is two separate actions.

I forgot to say that when the little ones or guests are on the boat, im constantly fixing a line ect..
I like the no fail cable option cause I like less to fail..

I usually have kids or wife on my boat and I have to fix a lot of lines/hooks/bait, I simply hit spot-lock now and do what needs to be done.
Like I said in an earlier post, I've only used my new Terrova 3 or 4 times but I can tell you right now, I'm never going back to cable steer and I'm a guy who loved cable steer. That iPilot has so many nice features it just makes fishing with wife and kids easier.
When I bought my TM I got it a BPS and they had plenty of stock when I called so I got it. A friend of mine called the next day and they were all gone. It is that time of the year.

I ended up, cause I couldn't wait with everything going on, with 12v 54" power drive with foot and remote control, spot lock ect. So far I love it. Took the 2 talons off the back,probably not going back on, been trolling for 2 days catching fish. I did leave both trolling batteries in the boat just incase. 1 battery been doing just fine. I can sit in the back the whole time. So far I love it. For my crestliner 19' 150hp and 3 batteries total and live well full of water, it has no problem trolling on 3.5-4 setting. Hope this helps someone else down the line. I'll answer any questions bout anything, just pm me. Im just now figuring out how to use the site/computer and post so bear with me..lol.. Thanks j
