I fished NH yesterday. Lake is full from all the rain. Muddy, but seems to be clearing up. There was alot of debris from run off. It was my second trip this season. I stayed in Canoe Creek. The bite was slow and caught mostly small fish, but that might be my inexperience.
I'm guessing you was long lining? They should be moving up shallow on brush and the banks to spawn.

That's what I thought, if you pulling on most of our lakes and all you catching is dinks and the water temperature is in the high 50s I'm put the trolling stuff up and looking for brush ,docks and laytdowns. I've fish Neely Henry my hole life and most years whenever it starts greening up it's time to cast to them.

I went this morning. Water temp 58-63. Caught 9 keepers shooting docks. Very slow. 1 on this dock 2 on the next. No pattern to it as far as depth goes. Caught them in 4 foot all the way out to 11foot.
Hopefully i can try again in a few days.
You did better than me I got blanked on crappie. Tried down at lakeshore and around canoe creek. I was just using a slip bobber and jig/minnow rig. Slow but I was expecting it but thought I’d pick up a few. Wind was blowing me around early...couple of surprise catfish all I got. I’m gonna have to set my boat up to pull jigs and learn technique I reckon
They still not ready, if I can’t catch one in front of my house it’s not on. With AP pulling 3 turbines for what seems like 2 months the fish have no clue what’s going on. I hit it for a bit yesterday and caught 12 and marked fish where I figured they would be with the conditions we r at now , but not much happening. With the water surface of the river being 58 it’s getting close. The creeks r warmer but with the surface temp being 2-3 degrees cooler then 2 foot down things need to stabilize. I’ve been on big groups of crappie but they just laughing at me
Sent from my iPhone using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app wish I could upload videos of my livescope, I’ve found groups 100 plus strong on structure and they won’t take a bait. The dock I was on yesterday had a few on it but not many Attachment 369441
Cowboy, I sent you a PM about giving my dock a try. If you get a chance to hit it, I'd love to see what you do there.
Will do, have to take boat up to bucks tomorrow for oil change and timing belt, once I get it back I’ll rip up there and give it a try

I don't know what y'all are talking about. These were caught there on Saturday. Attachment 369541 1.84 and 1.64
Nice fish Roger!
I fished Beaver Creek with Saturday afternoon with minnows under skip bobbers. Fished the shallows 6-3 ‘ and no fish. Not sure what the fish are doing now on NH. Any suggestions?

They getting close Roger, don’t know if you found any above where those were caught but they were stacked about 150 yards up but the wind was to tough to pull through them. Once they move shallower from where they were watch out.

Move around a lot and hit brush on the banks and piers unless you like trolling. Troll in the creeks (canoe, shoal, beaver) if that is your thing. Henry is a great crappie fishery. This rain will make it fast and muddy but that is kind of normal for Henry. Just try to find some clear-ish water. Canoe creek is slow to clear in my experience but I'm no expert.
James we will keep this spot a secret between just us for now.
You got that right Roger
