CLOSED UNTIL MAY 11th
Attachment 368779
No word yet from the Nashville District (which manages Barkley Lake) about a closure.
So does this include all ramps on these lakes?
Apparently.
I can't say I agree with this particular measure. Possibly the campground portion but shutting down a boat ramp? That's a bit goofy.
What I can't figure out is whether or not tickets will be issued for being on the water. What if you know of a place to launch without a ramp?
Not sure I agree with this. But why would the Corp not just shut them all down?
Why would they shut any boat ramp? It’s an isolated activity?
Not an attack Swampseed, trying to see your perspective.
Not like they help us launch or anything.

I don't want any shut down I want to go fishing! Just would have thought on a Federal level they would have done it across the board on all. Again, I want us all to go fishing.
UPDATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Attachment 368798
They apparently jumped the gun on their press release, and issued the followup statement saying that RAMPS ARE NOT CLOSED.
Well that's just JIM FREAKIN DANDY
Guess I'll have to contact the COE & get my $50 back for the picnic shelter rental for our Spring Fling @ Green ... maybe even have to cancel the whole event. :dono
Keep us updated if there are any further changes or notices.
Another government agency looking at the world through their navel.
AND THE INSANITY CONTINUES !!:mad::mad::puke
I just talked to the Louisville District COE (Green River Lake) and was told that all their ramps are closed ... but there are exceptions. The COE ramp at Holmes Bend Marina WILL NOT BE CLOSED ... but will be open to use "at your own risk". That was the only one I asked about, as I was in the process of getting a refund for the day use shelter where we were to have had our Spring Fling event.
With that in mind ... you may want to contact them and ask about ramps on other lakes under their control.
