Don't guess there are any striper running up river yet in that water. Are they planning on letting any water out soon or just holding it until summer.
Chris, which dock is yours? How many docks are below you down the Broad?

The broad will most likely stay very muddy all spring. The fish will still run up it once water temps get into the 60's and stay there. Actually all the current coming in will make the run stronger. You usually will do better on cutbait in those conditions though.
The water from below Russell Dam down to the broad should be very clear because they are blowing it out of Russell right now. I know it was clear two weeks ago.
What is water temperatures above the Broad River?
Low 50's
If you own waders or hip boots be sure to wear them at Bobby Brown water is way up past the trash cans. No joke

As well as I can remember BB boat ramp slowly tapers into the water so even when the lake is only at full pool you need somebody to back you in or you will have to get wet. That's why I don't use that ramp. Pistol ramp is good whether lake is high or low and is usable year round. Pistol is a short ride to BB park. Unless I was camping at the park I'd use Pistol.
The ramp on the Broad River side is not as level and the big one on the Savannah River side. Thanks will have to try that ramp but we are staying at Bobby Brown.

Should be able to. Big Hart was down to where you could use the courtesy ramp yesterday.
Everything is improving fast. Clarks Hill is only up 0.9 as of this morning (from nearly 4 ft high!)

Broad, Savannah, NewFord, and Pistol all come together in one spot. Coming out of Savannah Broad runs left to right. Straight across is mouth of NewFord. Taking a right before going thru the mouth of NewFord is leading you right into Pistol. The name of the landing in Pistol is Gills Point Landing.
