Did you guys order (or buy) a lake chip or are you using the pre-loaded maps? Which chip? Thanks.

LakeMaster Plus is what I use.

Lakemaster is excellent on High definition lakes they r 1’ contours
Of you just fish one lake or two you can download just the lake and put on a micro card. Cheaper that way.

Mine came with a Navionics card in the bundle. I did run it on the stock maps one time and noticed that some one of the "warning" buoys was off by a good 60-75 yards.
I fish with the preload map has served me fine
LakeMaster is the way to go. You can set what depths you want to classify as shallow, medium, etc with different colors, and you can get all the contours to adapt to the current lake elevation (in drought or in floods like now). And one foot contours make a world of difference. Definitely worth the $.
Navionics premium east, it’s has way more lakes listed that I fish than lakemaster, which makes a good card but they need to get with the program , the stock maps are not very detailed, big difference
Fisher o men, you can do all the things you listed with a hummingbird and a navionics premium chip as well, lakemaster makes a goodun if they list where you fish
Butch needs to be careful which Navionics map he gets. The East region I believe cuts off at SC. The south region covers Ga and Florida. I had to buy both chips for my Florida and SC trips.
Best deal is all states map then you an download what you need. My buddy Tom has that on his HB and it's slick.
I'll ask Tom (Gadabout) to post his info. He has a HB and it came with a USA chip. It requires a subscription after 1st year but if you've downloaded all your lakes you wouldn't need to renew except to get new data.
Ive got the navionics premium east v.6. It has Clark’s hill on it
I think all I would need is Hartwell, Russell, and Clark Hill and Lake Moultrie and Marion. I could buy either Navonics or LakeMaster but wouldn't get all 5 lakes. I'd need 2 chips for all of them. I'm not too up on how to download maps. Any info anywhere on how to do this?!?
Here is a video on lakemaster. Hope this helps.

MyHELIX 7 CHIRP SI GPSG2N. came with a Navionics+ US & Canada card . You select area of lakes and download them to the card. You can erase and add more when you exceed the card capacity.
I chose Lakemaster plus the Mid Atlantic version Butch, which seemed to give me all of the lakes that I cared anything about. Do be aware that most of the newest versions of that particular software are on backorder.
You can review all of the Lakemaster Maps and versions and exactly what lakes are covered on the Humminbird website.
I have the Navionics US & Canada chip. I had it in a Lowrance I sold and use it in my Helix, because the subscription is good until Sept. "20. You can get all 5 of those lakes for sure. If you go to the Navionics.com website, select "Chart Viewer", you can zoom in and see the lakes details of the maps. There are 2 in one maps, with the Navionics nautical charts and the "Sonarchart" maps. In the Helix menu, the SonarChart maps are called "fish 'n chip". I pretty much use the SonarChart layer all the time, it is pretty accurate on my lakes in GA.
To load an area onto the Navionics card, you use their "chart installer" program, and just use the mouse to draw a box that includes all the lakes you want, then select "download". It is pretty easy.
I have a Lowrance Ellite 9Ti and the Navionics USA chip. After the first year some advance features stopped working and had to renew the subscription to get those features. I am considering getting rid of the Lowrence and getting a Humminbird.
