After ripping the cable out of one I used the Cornfield Crappie Cable Saver. Well worth the money. Give Mark a call. Great customer service.

I removed the head from the trolling motor shaft and disconnected the wires...slid the shaft out of the bracket...mounted my transducer to the motor at bottom of shaft...then used clear silicone caulking to glue the transducer wire down in the groove in the shaft....then slid the shaft back in the bracket and connected TM wires and put the head back on...put a zip tie around the wire and shaft top and bottom. It sounds tricky and difficult but its really not.
What transducer .... I put my old HDSI transducer in the shaft slot but most of the newer transducer cable are too large to fit.

What model is your Terrova? Mine was a 2018 model and had the spring assist so I couldn’t do mine like G talked about without taking the spring assist off. If yours is an older model, there is a Cornfield Cable Saver for an older version in the personal classifieds.

I put my Trasducer cable inside a 1/4" clear plastic water tubing by sliting one side of the tubing. Does a real good job of protecting the cable. Zip tie to motor and shaft, zip tie across head on shaft looped around locking pen both ends, leave slack for motor to turn, then zip tie cable to shaft above the deepth locking nut. Works and does not cost $140.00.
I used the cornfield crappie mount for my Terrova and it worked good
On my old Terrova I did what G said and it worked great. I just mounted a brand new Terrova and used a Cornfield Crappie transducer saver because I didn't want to take a chance of voiding the warranty.
Cornfield Crappie
I ordered a saver from Cornfield because I didn't want to chance voiding my warranty on my new motor by removing the parts needed to run the cable up thru the groove in the shaft.
I get it that a lot of people want to mount transducer to trolling motor. I was told that when you make turns your display becomes distorted. Looking for an alternative I found Ricky's "da ducer." It's a pole-like device to which you mount your transducer. Long story short, I love it and recommend it for anyone wanting a transducer mounted on front of boat. This is my opinion, I don't get anything for recommending this item.
