Wow!! I'll bet that hawg gave you a bit of a tussle... and for a while too.
[QUOTE=Tuscaloosa;3966746]What is that
Asian carp!
They will take over the lake!
Maybe the Bass masters can paint it green and take it to Birmingham to weigh it. Wonder how many of the green trout will die being transported from Guntersville to Birmingham to be weighed then supposedly returned to Guntersville . Some might get trans planted a lot of lakes between here and there not that I would miss a one!!!! rotfl
I don’t think that’s a silver carp. That’s a Bighead carp I think. If it is, we’ve had them on Guntersville for over a decade.
Probably all of them will die. I've read where they have 60%+ that do not make it. In the hot months it more

I recall in the late 80's, there were some Chinese grass carp released in Gville ostensibly to control vegetation and there was some controversy as fishermen and duck hunters love the grass but skiers detest it....not sure if the carp released were the same ones that jump in schools …..
Their not the same. I believe the one pictured is a big head, not an Asian. The asians are the ones that jump.
I have caught many of those for years. I think it's a bighead, kind of like my bighead when someone gives me a compliment. Wait a minute, that never happens lol.
