Now with Deer season over ,, went and had a pair of Horns removed and small Skin Cancers on both arms --- Then I showed a spot on my Right leg .... She LOOKED at the thing and said -- it is a Barnacle ----- I looked at her -- A What??? Barnacles are harmless --- Can you freeze it too and take it off --- sure !!!! Wait until I tell Delma the Doctor removed a Barnacle from below the water line
Yeah, I've had a "horn" removed (surgical cutting) & a dozen or so skin cancer spots cryogenically (frozen) removed from my arms ... but, no "barnacles" :Rofl ... above or below the water line.
* Seborrheic Keratoses or, 'Barnacles of Aging,' are harmless spots and skin growth that occur during adulthood. ... The spots are not cancerous and happen in the outer layer of the person's skin. The main feature of barnacles of aging is their waxy or, 'pasted-on,' appearance.
Anyone who fishes should see a Dermatologist at least once a year...I see mine every 4 months...some things (fishing) you just can't give up....

Skin cancer caused by excess sun exposure is nothing to take lightly. I found a odd shaped flat mole on my (then) fiancee who was previously a beach sun goddess and a tanning bed freak--even in the winter months. I finally made her go to the doctor to have it checked out although she tried her best to dismiss the mole as nothing. As soon as the doctor saw the mole, he identified it as a melanoma and wanted to remove it right then. Once the lab work came back after a specimen was sent off... the doctor contacted her and told her that the mole was cancerous and was the fast killing kind of melanoma... and that she should thank me because he was sure that I very likely saved her life.
Long story short: I have just ordered a bunch of sun protective clothing especially for fishing, including a couple of big straw hats, gloves, long sleeved uv protective t-shirts, neck gaitors and face protection.

I've had melanoma removed twice plus several less serious ones. The best gloves I have found are the (Buff water 2 gloves) for fishing and operating the boat. They fit good and have good grip and don't stretch out like others I have tried. Found some a few months ago on fish307 that were 50% off so bought several more pair to make sure I always have some.

I got my face shields when the special was "buy one, get 3 free" (or something along those lines). I got my "one" and that was all, so I contacted them about the order. Turns out they sent me the one color I ordered, as they had it in stock, and the others were shipped shortly thereafter. So, if you don't get everything you originally ordered in your first shipment ... contact them and see if they are going to be sent to you in a followup order.
