The waggler. Accept no substitutes.
If I buy them I like Thill pencil type. Mostly I just use whatever I find caught in the trees hanging over the water. :biggrin
I've been using these for over 10 years, very deadly, The Everlasting Slip Bobber - the world's finest slip bobber!
So do I, but I don't grab every one that I see. If I see a Thill, I'll go out of my way to get it. But the ones I encounter most of the time, and the ones I will grab (if it's within reasonable reach) are the Comal cigar shaped slip floats. I'll leave the spring type and plastic round bobber type floats for someone else.
I’ve had a Wing It brand slip float on my slip rod for a couple of years now. Aerodynamic, it flies better in the wind than any other I’ve tried so far.
I love the ones I make from pool noodles and an inserted plastic drinking straw. It is the "Green flyer." Easy to see and is four inches by one inch. It supports lures from 1/64 ounce up to 7/16th ounce.

I went to a local winery that uses the real cork stoppers in their bottles and got me a plastic bag full at the end of wine tasting season 2 yrs ago. They gave me a whole bag for free. Took a small drill bit and drilled a hole, glued in a plastic stir stick, trimmed the stir stick and wallah. If you want to see it a distance paint it a bright fluorescent color. Holds the 1/32 jigs just fine, and none of it cost any thing, as I reuse the stir stick from buying a cup of coffee...just blow any coffee out of the straw when you get outside the store...
well there are several good brands BUT in this case the FREE Eagle Claw Balsa pencil ones that I will give away this week are WAY BETTER than the rest of the brands available because …..
1 they are free
2 they are quality built
3 will ketch fish
and YES KABOOM is the word
anyone have good video of using a slip bobber for their technique?

I like the Wahoo brand slippers... I've tried them all,& have several I like. For the cost/performance these stand above the rest... PS;they have brass ferrals in end. No more groves cut in after a day of fishing
2016 World Championships. Float rigging starts at about the 5:15 mark.

The Comal oval slip float. Probably not the best one but these are tradition in my wife's family.
They have been used for decades and we still use them. Nothing like hearing the bead snap to the float when one whacks it.
