Yep, with cold windy high pressure conditions forecasted, the bite had to be off...right? Well when you have the pleasure to go met up with Crappieday "Big fish Andy", you throw all that nonsense out the window...and besides you only get to catch these fish every 4 YEARS BEING A LEAP YRrotfl...So we start out pitching some jigs under float & what do you know the fish we come across aren't nipping, but rather engulfing the bites, not setting the world on fire, but certainly steady enough to keep our interest. We hit some other areas that held fish, however, were only able to boat a few before the spot lock needed a rest fighting the current in 1 direction & the wind pushing the opposite direction...all in all a morning I needed to shake off the WEEKEND weather blues we've experienced the last couple months, so thanks again for the invite Andy & opportunity to boat a few really nice specks...as well as the efforts put forth controlling the boat, I'll return the favor soon, whereas you can just concentrate on the fishing part...was great catching up on life's events too...:highfiveanother CDC fish & fellowship success....BTW Andy's got to be a Shad magnet, caught that 1 in pic vertical jigging...not at all the normal presentation to them rascals...
