Tied a few 1/32 oz x Matzou #8's with some 1/4" brass beads that I coated with glow powder. Tails also have some glow material in them. They hang perfectly horizontal when fished under a float. Tied them this afternoon. Attachment 366925Attachment 366926Attachment 366927Attachment 366928

The bead is placed on a pin and the pinhead inside and holding the bead in place. The pin shaft is then wrapped onto the hook. It really doesn't take long to do. Here is a pic of one lying on the coin. This allows it to hang horizontal. Attachment 366949

I have played around with beads for many years now and still have a lot of them with many Tungsten for added weight. I would bet these Brass beads are pretty light huh?

Total weight with a 1/4" diameter brass bead is 1/32 oz Skip. That's about max for brass bead heads. They are best for vertical presentations as they hang perfectly horizontal in the water column like a minnow or baitfish would.

I’d love to tye some like this but still not understanding what pin you use etc... I think it’s extremely important for the bait to hang horizontal especially under a float... I’d love to see what kind of pin you are using
I use the dressmaker pins for beads 5/32" and smaller and the 18 gauge brass ones for the 3/16" and 1/4" beads. The dressmaker pins I bought form a local sewing shop for like a $1.99 for 300 I believe. Hope this helps.Attachment 367509Attachment 367510

Well I believe you can also tie my all time best under a float jig that surprised me several ways to be sure.

PERFECT!!!I've been tieing my Jigheads to hang horizontally for 40 years because I'm a bobber fisherman and presentation is the key to success
