words to heed...thanks for the reminder, Don.

What a great post! Amen Amen Amen. We must all remember the scriptures. “You must be born again”. “Not by works of righteousness”. I’m so glad I got saved by grace through faith in Christ alone!!! I pray that everyone will take this post seriously and maybe Lord willing through the internet and these posts someone might even come to the knowledge of the truth. All glory to God. Thanks again for the post. I am glad I read that this morning.

No Ronnie it is not that, what scared me the most was hearing the heart monitor go beep beep and then go to a straight buzz and the nurse run out the room to get a Dr and my wife hollering at me Don, Don that was the scary part. I was conscious but not able to do or say anything at all just waiting to die. The Dr ran in and started saying don't leave us stay with us I Knew right then I was in deep trouble. Thank the Lord it was not my time.

You still have a bunch of crappie to catch so get better soon.
-
Great advice for all. God has more in store for you here on his earthly kingdom.

Sinkermaker, glad the Lord gave you some more time here on earth! I don't post here much, mostly just read posts but I saw on that pic that you are a Jackson. So am I! My papa's name was also Don Jackson, and he loved fishing as much or more than anybody I've ever known, so it must be in Jackson blood!

He would have a hard time loving it more than my dad. Pop only worked 2 1/2 days a week and the rest of the time he was hunting and fishing. I love it but not that much. It is just so relaxing if you don't take it to serious. God bless you and the family.

I love this entire thread and can’t keep this inside !! We all love to fish and this site is truly fantastic but man this is real and life isn’t a game for any of us. Especially as we get older. The scriptures are very clear and we aren’t promised tomorrow and life really is a vapor. I praise God Sinkermaker you have been given the grace of a longer life. Thank you for sharing your heart and focusing our attention to what real priorities look like !!! I’ve preached a lot of funerals over the years and I’ve never heard 1 person say they wished their loved one wouldn’t have given their life to Christ but instead they Thank God their loved one made the best decision of their lives while there was time. Thanks for your boldness to share !!

You're mighty right. Jesus doesn't care how good of a crappie fisherman we are. He just wants to know us personally. If not, then forever's gonna be bad.

Very good advice Don and I thank God your still here. You still have a lot of fishing to do my friend.
