I have fiberglass left from a boat deck rebuild.
I noticed it has a very high sheen. So i tossed it on a jig.

I like the idea of the glass fibers. No waterlogged bait there!

I’m not sure fiberglass would effect fish the way it does us and I can appreciate not waisting anything so I say well done sir. As long as you practice catch and eat there’s no harm done. I for one like the longer tails but that’s just me as I’m new to tying. The colors are great!

Outta curiosity, do you find the glass fibers a little hard to capture on the hook shank? And besides the wrapped thread, do you do a little Crazy glue? Lastly, what are you using to color the tips?
Oh, I do like the concept, and these look good enuf to eat....uh, speaking for the fish.

Glass is a lot easier to tie than feathers.
I always have super glue to help.
Tip is just permanent markers
